Position Purpose:

Hospital Services Technicians travel between customer healthcare facilities, providing on-site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, including but not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. Services are provided at scheduled intervals for assigned facilities.

Key Job Activities:
  1. Travel between healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various programs and services.
  2. Interact professionally with onsite customer staff to meet or exceed service expectations.
  3. Maintain a strict collection and service schedule.
  4. Communicate duty status as per schedule.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
  6. Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of work experience or High School diploma/equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and tact in customer service.
  • May require immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including spreadsheets and tracking software.
Schedule:

Start Time: 4:30 AM

Monday & Thursday: Aspirus Hospital, Wausau, WI

Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
