Job summary

Leadoo Academy is seeking an experienced Part-Time English Tutor to support international middle and high school students with their U.S. school English coursework.

The tutor will work in the Greater Boston area, conduct roughly 3 in-person sessions per week (about 2 hours each), and may have a hybrid option depending on student needs. Candidates should be familiar with U.S. middle and high school English curricula and be able to guide reading, writing, and literary analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Education, or related field.
• Strong familiarity with U.S. middle and high school English curricula.
• Experience teaching or tutoring middle/high school English.
• Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting international students is preferred.
• AP English Language/AP English Literature or test prep familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured English tutoring based on students’ school coursework and learning needs.
• Support reading comprehension, literary analysis, academic writing, grammar, and vocabulary development.
• Review and provide feedback on homework, essays, and other school assignments.
• Help students prepare for quizzes, tests, essays, and class projects.
• Identify areas for improvement and provide targeted practice and feedback.
• Communicate with the academic support team regarding students’ progress when needed.
