Job summary

The Howmet Aerospace Internship Program, in our Howmet Wheel Systems (HWS) unit, offers engaging engineering projects, lunch & learns, plant tours, networking, volunteering, and social activities; interns work 40 hours a week and are paid for roughly 12 weeks.

Responsibilities include engineering-focused projects and exposure to operations in a heavy manufacturing environment, providing a realistic view of an operations professional in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum 3.0 GPA and active involvement in at least one extracurricular activity or prior work experience.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar with an expected graduation date between Dec 2026 and May 2028.
• Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Interns will work on engineering-focused projects within a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Projects provide a realistic view into the requirements of an operations professional in manufacturing.
• Interns will participate in program activities such as tours, lunches, networking, and community volunteering.
