Job summary

Axis Community Health is seeking a board-certified or eligible Endocrinologist to provide ambulatory endocrine care in a nonprofit clinic. The physician will consult, co-manage with primary care, and collaborate with nursing, medical assistants and operations staff to deliver team-based care.

The position is part-time (4-8 hours per week), with potential for additional hours based on clinic needs. CA licensure and fellowship in endocrinology are required; bilingual English/Spanish is highly

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or MBBS degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years out-patient experience in primary care or subspecialty setting.
• Current CA medical license in good standing and DEA license.
• Residency in internal medicine and fellowship in endocrinology.
• ABIM board certification or eligibility with exam date planned.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ambulatory endocrinology care within scope to examination, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
• Collaborate with PCPs and clinic staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment plans and prognosis.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with licensure and credentialing requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings, credentialing, and CME activities.
