Job summary

College of the Sequoias invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty in Allied Health to teach Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic. Courses may be offered at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center and may include weekend or evening classes.

Adjunct positions are temporary and do not accrue rights to tenure. Screening committees review applicants, and meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview.

Qualifications

• The minimum qualifications for all disciplines may be found within the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges.
• Each training program may have a teaching assistant who shall be supervised by a principal instructor, the course director and/or the program medical director.
• Foreign Degree: Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association.

Responsibilities

• Under the general direction of a dean or director, adjunct faculty will provide comprehensive classroom instruction to community college students.
• Adjunct faculty will also be expected to collect and submit data on student learning objectives as needed.
