Job summary

Los Rios Community College District seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach Emergency Medical Technician courses across multiple campuses (ARC, CRC, FLC, SCC). This part-time, temporary pool operates on a need basis and hires year-round based on district needs.

Eligible applicants remain active for two years with periodic updates. Responsibilities include teaching assigned EMT courses, assessing outcomes, and maintaining current knowledge in the field.

Qualifications

• Have a bachelor's degree or higher AND two years of related occupational/professional experience; OR have an associate's degree AND six years of related experience; OR the equivalent. All degrees must be from an accredited institution.
• Equity-minded focus and inclusivity in teaching diverse student backgrounds and learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes under supervision of area dean.
• Help students meet course objectives and demonstrate mastery.
• Assess student learning outcomes and maintain up-to-date knowledge in the teaching field.
• Utilize current technology in teaching and maintain professional conduct and ethics.
• Assist with articulation and curriculum development and review; participate in faculty governance and committees.
