Job summary

Lamar Institute of Technology is seeking a part-time EMT Instructor to provide hands-on instruction for the Emergency Medical Services program at the Polk County Center in Livingston, Texas. Responsibilities include teaching classes, guiding students, and demonstrating equipment operation. Candidates must have at least two years of EMS instructional experience, relevant certifications, and a high school diploma or GED. Additional qualifications such as an Associate Degree in EMS and experience in higher education are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of EMS instruction required.
• Certifications: Texas EMT, EMS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses at Livingston, Texas Polk County Center.
• Provide counsel/guidance to students.
• Demonstrate operation of relevant equipment.
• Maintain good relationships with staff.
• Work flexible hours, possibly including weekends.
