Qualifications

• Associate degree requirement and two years of professional emergency services experience.
• Equivalency: any combination approved by the Human Resources Department.
• Adjunct faculty positions are part‑time and temporary, filled on a semester‑by‑semester basis depending on enrollment and program needs.
• Courses may be offered in face‑to‑face, hybrid, or online formats.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Fire Science and Emergency Medical Technology courses per syllabi and learning outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver instruction using appropriate and engaging strategies.
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Communicate regularly with students and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Comply with college policies, procedures, and academic standards.
• Participate in required training and departmental meetings.
