Job summary

Global Medical Response’s Lifeguard Ambulance Service is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and to provide high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities include patient assessments and care delivery, documentation, safety, and collaboration with health and public safety teams; minimum requirements include GED, state driver’s license, EMT certification, CPR/BLS, and a physical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• National or State EMT certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certifications are required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Must pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• EMTs assess patients, determine care needed, and deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Provide care using EMT skills including communication, equipment handling, cleaning procedures, and office tools.
• Operate an ambulance in line with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
