Job summary

Global Medical Response in Billings is seeking a Part-Time EMT to join the top private EMS provider in Montana. EMTs respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, delivering high‑quality patient care and customer service within established protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

• National Registry EMT certification is required or in process.
• Montana EMT certification with 60-day hire window.
• BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains familiarity with treatment protocols and quality assurance procedures.
• Keeps knowledge of policy changes and system updates up to date.
• Maintains certification levels needed for assigned tasks.
• Operates a company vehicle safely and in compliance with policy.
• Documents all required information as per company policy.
• Maintains professional appearance and completes mandatory in-services.

They deliver high quality patient care and customer service within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols, and company policies. We are the only 911 transporting agency in the city of Billings and the largest ambulance service in Yellowstone County. In a shift you could have calls with 45-minute transports or less than 5, it is a very dynamic system!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements and quality assurance procedures in system in which assigned.
• Maintains awareness of all changes in the system components and company policy.
• Maintains the level and type of certification(s) consistent with performing tasks in the system to which assigned.
• Complies with all state and company requirements for operation of motor vehicle.
• Operates a company vehicle in accordance with company policy and safe practices.
• Develops ability to locate addresses quickly and safely through knowledge of number systems and street layouts.
• Ensures that unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply and equipment, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
• Reports immediately any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit’s ability to complete a call.
• Completes all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy.
• Reports all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to Supervisor.
• Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniforms standards.
• Attends all mandatory in-services.
• Other Duties as defined on the job description.

OtherPotential Assignments:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
• Deploy on Wildland Fires
• Deploy on a Disaster Response Team with FEMA
• Deploy with local SWAT teams
• Provide Medical at multiple events throughout the county

Requirements

• National Registry EMT
• Montana State EMT Certification with within 60 days of hire
• BLS CPR Certification
• Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy
• Obtain MT State EMT Endorsements during training period
