Homeland Stores in El Reno, OK is seeking a Part Time Food Clerk-Cashier to greet customers, ring up purchases, and keep the checkout area clean and organized. The role requires accurate cash handling and friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will process coupons, WIC and other payments, adhere to safety protocols, and assist bagging and stocking as needed. This position offers open shifts and a path to employee ownership within the store.

Qualifications

Above and Beyond Customer Service
Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Prior Experience in related field or industry

Responsibilities

Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely
To process customer purchases quickly and accurately by the operation of an electronic cash register, scanner and scale
To clean register area by sweeping floors, cleaning check lanes, registers and scales
To prevent loss of money and merchandise by careful product handling, completion of price, correct identification of produce, counting of money, and accurately using store procedures for the acceptance of coupons, WIC and other vouchers, checks, credit and debit cards
To assure the safety of self, customers and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately
To bag customer purchases quickly and correctly
To understand the operation, safety requirements and restraints of an electronic cash register, scanner, scale and intercom system.
To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, substituting for absent workers and performing any additional tasks necessary to provide products and services to customers.
