Job summary

Society of Critical Care Medicine is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join as a part-time role. The successful candidate will handle triage, diagnosis, and management of diverse cases in a fast-paced ED, with independent judgment in patient care and referral decisions.

Requirements include board certification in emergency medicine or residency-trained with 4 years ER experience, MD/DO from an accredited medical school, and active medical license with ABEM/AOBEM eligibility.

Qualifications

• Board-certified EM physicians or residency-trained with 4 years ER experience.
• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• US Citizenship required
• Active medical license and board certification or eligibility by ABEM/AOBEM.
• CPR certification required; ACLS, PALS, ATLS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Triage and diagnosis in the emergency department.
• Make immediate, critical decisions and initiate treatment for life-threatening cases.
• Direct patient treatment and refer to specialists when necessary.
• Perform minor surgical procedures (I&D, suturing).
• Instruct and supervise other medical personnel in care and treatment.
• Manage medications and treatment plans; record data in CHCS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
