Job summary

Brightmont Academy in Birmingham, MI seeks a Part Time Elementary Teacher to deliver one-on-one instruction. You’ll tailor lessons to each student’s needs and pace, fostering mastery with a gradual release approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics or related field.
• Patience and empathy for diverse learners and learning styles.
• Strong passion for teaching and student growth.
• Proficiency with G-Suite and LMS platforms.
• Ability to undergo fingerprinting and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one with tailored lessons.
• Adjust instruction to individual learning styles and pacing.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion!)

Patience & Empathy : You understand that every student learns differently, and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.

A Heart for Teaching : A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.

Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)

Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications:

Orton Gillingham trained

A teaching certification - nice to have but not required!

Advanced degree in specific subject area of expertise.

Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
