Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a local contract School Occupational Therapist for a school-based position in Glendale Heights, Illinois. This role is part-time (1.0 FTE) with a 41-week duration, delivering OT services to elementary students.

Responsibilities include assessing motor and sensory needs, developing individualized plans, implementing IEP-aligned interventions, and collaborating with teachers and other specialists to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• IL OT license.
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred, fieldwork counts.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodations or modifications.
