Hastings Public Schools is seeking a Recess & Lunchroom Aide to support students at Kennedy Elementary during lunch and recess. The role involves supervising students in the cafeteria, helping with meals, and ensuring safety and orderly behavior during playtime.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas.
• Supervise playground and classroom during lunch hour.
• Assist with food purchases, distribution, disposal of waste, and return of trays.
• Ensure students remain seated in assigned areas and circulate to assist.
• Assist with orderly dismissal from cafeteria and escort to buses as needed.
• Support librarians and escort students to buses as required.
• Report safety concerns or incidents to staff.
