Job summary

Solon High School is seeking a qualified English Language Learners teacher to join our faculty. The position requires a valid Ohio teaching certificate in the ELL area and a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Experience teaching ELLs in elementary grades is preferred, with strong recommendations from supervisors or mentors. The role is a certified teacher contract, 0.5 FTE over approximately 93 work days, reporting to the Principal.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio teacher's certificate in the area assigned (TESOL or equivalent).
• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated successful ELL teaching experience in elementary grades.
• Appropriate recommendations from student teaching supervisors or other professionals who have observed the personal characteristics, scholastic attainment and classroom performance of the teacher.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
