• Master’s in Education OR the equivalent.
• Knowledge of and ability to appraise the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• Sensitivity to the needs and challenges of a diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower-division courses in Education for the Elementary Teacher Education program.
• Coordinate programmatic aspects such as recruitment and placing education hours.
• Advising and supporting student clubs and activities related to teacher education.
• Develop pathways for STEM, Language Arts, and Elementary Education programs.
• Advance equitable student learning through effective instruction and assessment.
• Participate in department and college meetings and maintain regular office hours.
• Develop and assess student learning outcomes and engage in data-driven improvement.
