Job summary

Shenendehowa Central School District is seeking an Elementary Classroom Aide at Okte Elementary School to support students and staff during a 3.5-hour daily schedule (Mon-Fri, 10:00am–1:30pm). This temporary assignment runs through June 30, 2027, with duties assigned by classroom teachers to assist with small-group work, routines, and supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and comfort working with youth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED).
• Experience with youth is desirable.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and staff in various classroom and non-classroom roles.
• Supervise recreation or cafeteria times and escort students to classes.
• Help with routine tasks and small-group guidance as directed by teachers.
