Job summary

Mtwp is seeking a part-time Elementary Building Aide to support students and teachers in a K-6 setting. This role assists with behavior, safety on play areas, and classroom support throughout the school day at Manheim Township School District facilities.

The position is 10-month, Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–3:00 PM, with duties across Reidenbaugh, Schaeffer, and Neff Elementary schools. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in managing classroom activities and behavior.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, and activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Monitor students during arrival and dismissal.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and teachers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the school principal or teacher.

Job description

Summary:

We are seeking part-time an Elementary Building Aide to provide support to students and teachers in a K-6 school setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a desire to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position is responsible for providing assistance to elementary students in the building of assignment; specifically, in monitoring student behavior, to keep order in the cafeteria and ensure that children are safe on the playground and using the equipment properly, and to provide student and building support through the school day. The incumbent works with other members of the Department in meeting department goals and objectives in support of the Manheim Township School District ("MTSD") mission to provide a social and educational environment for the students.

Positions available at Reidenbaugh Elementary, Schaeffer Elementary, Neff Elementary.

Position Type:

Part-time 10 Month (school-term)

Monday-Friday 8:45 AM-3:00 PM (5.75 hours per day)

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in managing classroom activities and behavior
