Description
We are in search of a certified Part-Time Elementary and/or Secondary Music Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants who have a current teaching certificate, are active in their faith-life, and possess a strong work ethic are ideal candidates for this position. Candidates should understand the importance of developmental milestones in a child's life and educate students about fundamental concepts of music theory such as rhythm, melody, pitch, and tempo.
The responsibilities include conducting exercises like vocalization, harmonizing, singing, and playing musical instruments. They may also lead rehearsals in preparation for the school's musical performances, the Annual Christmas concert, and Grandparent’s Day.
Other necessary skills include effective communication with parents and teamwork with other teachers and staff members. Proficiency in using various technology platforms is beneficial.
A successful candidate will minister to students regardless of subject area and will be consistent with the Mission of St. George School, promoting and teaching the Catholic faith as reasonably determined by the principal. Applicants should hold the appropriate Missouri teaching certification or its equivalent.
