Johnson County Community College (JCCC) seeks a part-time SRC Tutor I for Electronics Technology in Academic Affairs. The role involves tutoring students in electronics courses, referring them to campus resources, and assisting with daily center operations in Overland Park, KS.

Requires a high school diploma with electronics coursework; preference for Electronics Technology Certificate. 12 hours per week, evenings and days, with partial benefits under a non-exempt title.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma with Electronics courses completed at JCCC.
• Basic skill set and proficiency.
• Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Tutor electronics technology courses in drop-in, by-appointment, or semester-long formats (online or in-person).
• Refer students to resources within the center and Academic Resource Center.
• Refer students to external resources with supervision guidance.
• Maintain FERPA-compliant records and update staff on student progress.
• Assist with center daily operations, front desk, checkout, and policy adherence.
• Help students with computer systems/software and troubleshoot issues affecting tutoring.
• Use scheduling system to manage tutoring schedules.
• Participate in center training and campus-wide trainings.
• Punctuality and attendance per schedule; communicate absences promptly if possible.
