Job summary

Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Part-time SRC Tutor I A&P to support students in Anatomy & Physiology courses. You will tutor sessions in person and online, conduct review sessions, and assist with learning using anatomical models.

The role emphasizes basic tutoring skills, FERPA-compliant recordkeeping, and collaboration with the Academic Resource Center. A high school diploma with relevant coursework is required.

Qualifications

• Requires basic tutoring skills.
• Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment.
• High School Diploma with successful completion of Human Anatomy & Physiology, Histology, Genetics or other related courses.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students through drop-in, by-appointment, and/or semester-long tutoring (online and/or in-person) for lower-level biology courses using anatomical models and lab techniques.
• Refer students to resources within the Academic Resource Center and related centers.
• Maintain accurate records in FERPA-compliant systems and update staff on student progress.
• Assist in daily center operations: front desk, checkout resources, check-in/out, and uphold center policies.
• Help students with computer systems/software and troubleshoot related issues.
