Job summary

Houston Christian University is seeking adjunction faculty in Electrical Engineering Technology for Fall 2026 or later. Positions are part-time and semester-by-semester, contingent on student demand. Applicants are encouraged to apply year-round to teach on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities include teaching courses, following syllabi, and maintaining timely communication with students, colleagues, and the community. Hiring is based on project needs and course demand.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in a related discipline and teaching experience aligned with the discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Teach basic or advanced courses in electrical engineering technology, based on needs of the college and qualifications of the candidate.
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established departmental and institutional guidelines.
  • Provide timely, quality access to students via electronic communication and other appropriate methods.
  • Evaluate students by established means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and to inform them in a timely manner of their progress.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  • Submit paperwork and forms in a timely fashion.
  • Must be available to students outside of the classroom.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
