Job summary

Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services is seeking an EEG Technician for the Rheumatology/Neurology Clinic. The role involves preparing patients and performing EEGs and Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, and VEP within scope of practice, with documentation in the Hospital EMR.

The position is part-time, 16 hours per week, and reports to the Office Manager and Director. The successful candidate will demonstrate professional patient care, maintain EEG equipment, and handle scheduling and office tasks as

Qualifications

• Functions as a resource person to physicians and their staff.
• Prepares patient and performs Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, VEP and other tests within your scope of practice.
• Edit and prepare test for reading by a Physician.
• Reports findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation.
• Demonstrates compassionate, courteous, and privacy-respecting customer service.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a resource person to physicians and their staff, family members and hospital staff.
• Prepares patient and performs Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEGs, BAERs, VEP and other tests within your scope of practice.
• Edit and prepare test for reading by a Physician.
• Reports findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation.
• Demonstrates customer service in all interactions with privacy respect.
• Cleans and maintains EEG equipment and accessories.
• Uses Hospital EMR for documentation.
• Follows protocol for patient wires and cleaning/storage.
• Performs scheduling, filing, computer and telephone tasks.
• Performs other duties as directed by physician or office manager.
• Works 8 hour shifts unless arranged otherwise with the Director.
