Job summary

Right At School is seeking passionate educators to support safe, engaging after-school programs and break camps across the country. You will implement our curriculum, supervise children, and collaborate with school staff to uphold a positive learning environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication with families, and adherence to safety standards, with flexible hours aligned to school schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificate preferred
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Live Scan fingerprint and Mandated Reporter training may be required
• State-specific requirements may apply

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Deliver curriculum to engage children and expand school-day learning
• Model positive guidance and classroom management to ensure safety and engagement
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for progress and accountability
• Support homework completion and lead fitness activities and play

Pay Range: $19-$22/hour (dependent on education & experience)

Schedule: *Starting in the Fall* Mo-Thu 2:00pm-6:00pm, Friday 12:45pm-6:00pm

You’ll Drive The Mission By

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Works well in a team environment
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
• Completion of a minimum of six (6) units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certificate
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)
