Job summary

JACKSONVILLE ELEMENTARY is seeking an Educational Support Staff member for a permanent 5.75 hour/day position in Jacksonville, Oregon. The role supports teachers, supervises students, and assists with literacy and math interventions.

193 school days are budgeted; supervision and basic clerical duties are included. Beginning immediately, under the Principal's supervision, the paraprofessional will assist in classrooms, manage materials, and help maintain a safe learning environment with First Aid

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to interact with teachers, staff, and students.
• Language skills for verbal and written English; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to handle math concepts used in classroom interventions.
• Ability to apply reasoning to written and diagrammed instructions.
• General computer literacy: email, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instructional settings and literacy/mathematics activities.
• Prepare materials and manage student work and progress binders.
• Deliver small-group intervention and read-aloud sessions.
• Supervise students to ensure safety across school areas.
• Maintain district policies, safety plans, and first aid where needed.
