Sheridan School District No. 2 is seeking babysitters to assist during parenting classes, parent meetings, and advisory meetings. Hours vary from 2 to 6 per week, reporting to the Director of Early Childhood Education.

Duties include supervising children and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED. Preferred are experience in education, knowledge of immunization laws, and bilingual Spanish/English abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English desirable.
• Experience in an educational environment and knowledge of immunization laws preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide attentive supervision of children during scheduled programs and meetings.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for children.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including play, reading, and simple learning activities.
• Assist children with basic needs such as snacks, restroom use, and comfort.
• Follow all safety, supervision, and childcare procedures.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding children's needs or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly childcare area before, during, and after activities.
• Report safety concerns or incidents to the Director of Early Childhood Education.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families encountered on the job.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Early Childhood Education.
