Job summary

MES, LLC is seeking a part-time Instructor at Fort Richardson, Alaska. You will provide academic instruction for HSCP, BSEP, GED prep and related programs, using multiple delivery methods as required by SOPs and AR 621-5.

You will develop individualized instruction plans, maintain records, and support events. A teaching credential or master’s degree is required, with DL experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and fully comprehend English.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field and a state Teaching Certificate or a Master’s degree in any field from an accredited institution.
• End-user instructional experience in Distance Learning (DL) or formal training.
• DL experience for assigned sites and ability to assist students with DL curriculum and with DL technical equipment; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a Government-provided Program of Instruction per Army policy and SOP.
• Deliver instructional services using face-to-face, classroom, DL, or computer-assisted methods.
• Provide FAST, test preparation, and prerequisite study for service schools and college classes.
• Maintain student records and course documentation; report to ESO/ESS as required.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEP) to tailor instruction to student needs.
• Assess student outcomes and maintain records per SOPs and directives.
• Use TABE or other tools to inform instruction and progress.
• Use GoArmyEd to announce classes, enroll students, report attendance, and monitor progress.
• Support special events (college fairs, graduation, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, professional work area and functional equipment.
