Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England in Hartford, CT seeks a Part-time Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist for the Cardiology/Echocardiography team. You will perform cardiac ultrasound exams, support fellows and students, and help maintain workflow in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates have an approved cardiac ultrasound program with ICAEL/ASE credentials and licensure, or registry eligibility, and are committed to patient-centered care and teamwork with physicians in the department.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved cardiac Ultrasound technology program.
• Licensure: Licensed by an organization recognized by ICAEL and ASE.

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients in the Department of Cardiology/Echocardiography.
• Teaches Cardiology Fellows from the University of Connecticut Medical School and Echocardiographer students from the Hoffman Heart School of Ultrasound, maintains workflow, and performs clerical duties as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and assesses data reflecting patient status to identify needs.
• Uses and learns to operate the department’s computerized systems and related devices, including handling emergencies.
