Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech for Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. This part-time position (30 hours, 3/10s) supports the cardiology team with diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasounds under physician direction.

The role is ideal for recent graduates or those new to the field, offering hands-on training, patient education, and collaboration across caregivers. ARDMS/CCI and BLS are required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography is required.
• BLS certification is required for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competency for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams, educate patients and families, and transport patients as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams in line with protocols and ensure timely completion.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and supplies; mentor others.
• Participate in education to maintain clinical competence and develop skills.
