Job summary

Hopkins Public Schools seeks an ECFE Assistant for the Harley Hopkins Family Center. This casual position supports Early Childhood Family Education classrooms and events, helping maintain a safe, inclusive space for children and families.

The role is 3–12 hours per week, with pay ranging from $17.69 to $25.14 per hour, DOE. Applicants with a high school diploma and at least two years of experience with children are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of paid experience with children or equivalent.
• Continued employment requires valid licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ECFE classrooms (Birth to age 5) or ECFE Sibling Care as needed.
• Assist with prep work to support teachers and program needs.
• Refer questions from participants to supervising teachers.
• Prepare activities and equipment as directed.
• Provide attentive supervision to ensure safety.
• Participate in activities with children and parents when appropriate.
• Maintain open communication between sites, staff, and community.
