Job summary

The University of the District of Columbia is seeking a part-time, temporary lecturer in Electrical Engineering to teach courses at the Washington, DC campus. Incumbents will deliver lectures and labs, prepare curricula, and assess student learning in undergraduate and graduate programs.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Prior teaching experience or evidence of teaching potential.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses as specified in the schedule and contract.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate Electrical Engineering courses (e.g., Microprocessors, VLSI, ML, VR/AR).
• Evaluate and select texts; prepare course materials and lesson plans.
• Provide an approved syllabus with objectives, outcomes, policies, and deadlines.
• Use LMS to post syllabus, assignments and communicate with students.
• Deliver content with varied teaching styles and relevant assignments.
• Maintain enrollment and grade records; submit rosters and grade sheets on time.
• Create a conducive classroom environment and manage conduct.
• Participate in meetings/orientation; discuss curriculum with Dean/Chair as needed.
• Adhere to university policies and guidelines in academics and conduct.
