Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains seeks a Part-Time ECE Classroom Assistant to support a caring, safe learning environment at the Brookings site. You will assist the Teacher with activities, help manage classroom routines, and document children’s progress for parents and staff.

Ideal candidates have childcare experience, HS diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to work well with others.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Childcare experience with infants/toddlers preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Able to communicate with parents and staff.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing curricula and encourage participation.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and manage materials.
• Supervise children during activities, ensuring safety.
• Maintain communications with parents through updates.
• Support transitions from home to childcare setting.
• Follow Clubhouse policies and state regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
