Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains in Brookings, SD is seeking a part-time Classroom Assistant to support the Teacher and help create a caring, safe environment for infants and toddlers in our program.

You will assist with curricula, supervise children, and communicate with parents while helping implement developmentally appropriate activities under supervision. Strong childcare experience and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Childcare experience with infants/toddlers preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing curricula and encourage participation by children.
• Maintain classroom materials and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities and ensure wellbeing.
• Communicate with parents through informal discussions and progress updates.
• Support teachers in developing developmentally appropriate activities.
