Seattle YMCA in Auburn, WA seeks an Early Education Teacher for part-time hours. You will work with the Lead Teacher to deliver engaging activities, supervise children, and follow state requirements.

The role emphasizes cultural responsiveness, family communication, and a supportive team. The schedule is typically Monday–Friday, with options 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. Applicants must meet educational and background-check requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with high school diploma and 12 ECE credits.
• Experience with children in the same age group.
• STARS training completed or in progress.
• Cleared background check in MERIT.
• Knowledge of culturally relevant educational practices.
• Pre-employment TB test and MMR vaccination offered.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally appropriate activities with the curriculum.
• Supervise a group of children to ensure safety and engagement.
• Complete observations with Lead Teacher for assessments.
• Maintain positive family communication and attend conferences.
• Keep classroom organized and ready for learning; attend meetings.
