Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support infants through PreK, delivering hands-on activities and a safe, nurturing classroom environment in the Research Triangle Park area. You will work part-time, 8:45am to 5:45pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost.

You'll collaborate with early education experts, communicate with families about daily milestones, and help maintain health and safety standards across centers.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations.

Education
