Qualifications

• Completed 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, including core topics.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Possession or active pursuit of Child Development Associate Teacher’s Permit.
• Must provide vaccination proof as required by funding sources.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Employees may need to provide a valid driving license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing learning environment to foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Assist with lesson plan development based on children’s needs and interests.
• Use play-based activities to teach children.
• Assist with individual child assessments.
• Participate in community outreach to maintain enrollment.
• Maintain clear communication with staff about each child’s development and program.
