Job summary

Avenues is hiring a Home Trainer for the Early Childhood Intervention program in Pottsville, PA. This part-time, in-home role provides specialized instruction to babies and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities, partnering with families weekly.

The position emphasizes confidentiality, professional conduct, and advocacy, with required training and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. In-person work with families is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early intervention, early childhood education, or related fields; 15 credit hours in listed areas accepted if degree not in majors.
• 1 year of full-time or equivalent experience with preschool children with disabilities and families.
• 2,500 hours of documented childcare experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Acceptable results on all pre-employment testing and background checks and renewals.
• Ability to comply with all physical job demands, with or without accommodations.
• Valid PA driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all policies and procedures and represent Avenues professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Advocate for the well-being of those served by Avenues.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisor.
• Complete required staff training hours annually and as assigned.
• Perform other duties and work assigned hours.
