Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College seeks a Part-Time Early Childhood Coach and Field Experience Coordinator to support field site mentorship and model classroom coordination across Anderson and Muncie campuses. This 20-25 hour/week role is grant-funded through December 2027, starting August 2025.

The successful candidate will match students to field sites, coordinate mentor coaching, and organize professional development while ensuring alignment with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in early childhood education, including teaching, career coaching, and field placement coordination.
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational institutions and community partners.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and other educational technologies.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain high-quality field placement partnerships.
• Match students to appropriate field sites and maintain placement records.
• Coach mentor teachers with in-classroom coaching and virtual reflection.
• Align mentoring with program goals and accreditation standards.
• Organize professional development opportunities for mentors and students.
• Oversee classroom needs, materials procurement, and mentor teacher stipends.
• Assist with curriculum kit curation and department planning.
• Support accreditation and grant reporting.
• Occasionally assist with CDA verification visits.
