Job summary

Saint Andrew School in Chicago’s Lakeview/Roscoe Village is seeking a caring, dependable Early Childhood Education Aide to support our youngest learners in a nurturing classroom.

Work closely with teachers to assist with daily routines, supervision, and age-appropriate activities. The position is part-time with an hourly range of $21.00–$23.00, and candidates with a high school diploma and team-oriented mindset are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young children preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily routines, activities, and transitions.
• Provide attentive supervision and support to young children throughout the school day.
• Assist students with age-appropriate personal care and classroom needs.
• Help prepare materials and learning activities.
• Support a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Encourage positive social interactions and age-appropriate independence.
• Assist with arrival, dismissal, lunch/snack, rest time, and other daily routines as needed.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with students, families, and staff.
• Follow all school policies and procedures related to student safety, supervision, and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.
