Job summary

Educare Chicago is seeking a dedicated Teacher Aide to support the Lead Teacher in delivering a high-quality early childhood program for children birth to five on Chicago’s South Side.

Responsibilities include planning activities, documenting children’s progress, ensuring safety and licensing compliance, and engaging families. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility to work 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential preferred or willingness to obtain within first year of employment.
• Experience in an early childhood program (min 6 months) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily education activities for children.
• Support Lead Teacher and Assistant in maintaining developmentally appropriate lessons.
• Complete required program documentation and attendance and health reports.
• Participate in family engagement, recruitment events, and staff trainings.
