Job summary

Valencia College’s School of Speech and Languages invites applications for a part-time EAP (English for Academic Purposes) faculty member to teach courses that support students in developing English language, communication, and academic skills for success in college and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English as a second language or related courses, with a Master’s degree in TESOL, English, or linguistics.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in TESOL, English or linguistics or communications OR 18 graduate semester hours in TESOL, English or linguistics and a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Face-to-Face and Mixed Mode modalities.
• You will need to establish and maintain Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction to students in assigned modalities (classroom, hybrid, online, etc.).
• Prepares instructional materials and provides feedback on student progress and mastery of course outcomes.
• Submits required documentation including syllabi, attendance, final grades, and other information as requested by the college.
• Maintains current information about services available to students and adheres to college policies.
