Virginia Tech Language and Culture Institute is seeking an adjunct instructor to deliver intensive English for academic purposes (EAP) within the Intensive English Program or the AdvantageVT pathway. The role includes leadership in future program directions and curriculum planning, with pre- and post-term obligations between sessions.

The position requires a Master’s degree with a TESOL certificate and considerable experience teaching university ESL/EAP courses, plus the ability to utilize

• Demonstrated ability to use the latest technology and teaching techniques

Mansioni

• Deliver up to three EAP courses per semester in line with VTLCI curriculum
• Handle pre- and post-term obligations and related duties
• Adhere to and maintain program policies for curriculum, grading, attendance, and assessments
• Participate in curriculum planning and course development
• Organize orientation sessions and complete intersession duties
• Submit grades and reports accurately and on time
• Participate in staff development sessions and meetings
• Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive team environment
• Engage in professional development activities including TESOL conference attendance

Conoscenze

Experience teaching university ESL/EAP

Ability to use latest technology in教学

Formazione

Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, or related field with TESOL certificate (min 18 credit hours)
