Overview

This Part-Time Instructor is responsible for teaching Humanities courses. Courses may be taught in an array of modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Qualifications

• Master\'s degree in Humanities; or a Master\'s degree with a total of 18 graduate semester hours in at least three of the Humanities disciplines (Art, Dance, Literature, Music, Theatre, Philosophy, or Humanities)
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Possess excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with students
• Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Must be able to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments

Preferred

• Teaching experience at college or community college level preferred
