Job summary

Open Arms Care in Knoxville, TN is seeking Direct Support Professionals for part-time second shift (4pm-12am) and third shift (12am-8am). You will help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independently and participate in community activities.

No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma; on-the-job training, CPR/PCM certification during onboarding, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Compassion and reliability are essential.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR certification within 30 days; PCM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on support with daily living activities.
• Support independence and life skills for individuals.
• Coach, mentor, and advocate for clients.
• Create a safe, welcoming home environment.
• Transport clients to appointments and community events.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and document progress.
