Royal Community Support – Hackensack Branch is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual in Boonton, Morris County, NJ, in a community-based setting. The DSP will provide in-home support and help with safe participation in community activities, focusing on person-centered care and meaningful engagement.

The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and compassionate, able to work independently in a one-on-one setting, and capable of following individualized service plans.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle (community‑based support required)
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Authorized to work legally in the United States

Responsabilidades

• Assist with daily living skills (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Support housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, light cleaning)
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs
• Teach and reinforce independent living skills
• Follow individualized service plans and behavior support strategies
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities
• Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
• Promote safety and well‑being at all times
• Maintain professional communication with guardians and agency staff
