Job summary

Karing Hands Provider Services LLC in Wooster, OH is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. This role focuses on delivering personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home- and community-based setting.

You will provide direct care, assist with daily living activities, document ISPs, and help clients participate in community activities while maintaining safety and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible part-time hours including evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and activities.

• Administer medications and follow health and safety protocols as required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members.
