Part-Time Class A CDL Driver

Summary

The Class A CDL Driver’s responsibility is to ensure the pickup and delivery schedule for the service center is met efficiently and meets customer needs. EMPLOYEE WILL BE DRIVING AND OPERATING A MANUAL TRUCK.

Minimum Qualifications

• CDL A – unexpired for tractor trailers
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience – meet Mickey Driver Policy Guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication with internal and external customers
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude, and provide exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions and routines
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation manuals, and written directions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Perform daily tasks including pulling, fueling, staging units, and pre-trip inspections
• Drive short and long distances, maneuver units in tight areas, and identify hazards
• Navigate roads and highways with ease
• Climb in and out of units frequently
• Work in a high-paced environment safely
• Deliver within regions from Virginia to South Carolina
• Identify stock numbers clearly and communicate effectively with customers and co-workers

Essential Functions

• Deliver excellent customer service
• Read and interpret data and work orders
• Perform basic math operations
• Maintain CDL-A certifications
• Navigate roads and highways, drive distances, and maneuver units

Physical Demands

• Perform essential job functions safely and successfully
• Maintain punctual attendance

• Climb, sit, drive, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform other physical activities as needed

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with exposure to weather, noise, and mechanical parts. Deliver to various customer sites.

Work Schedule

Flexible, part-time schedule Monday-Friday. Daily trips with no overnight delivery.
