Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Driver I to safely deliver vehicles from our auction facility to customer dealerships and other destinations. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service, with a schedule that runs Mon-Wed or Wed-Fri, 8am–5pm.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure timely, proper deliveries while upholding company procedures and standards. A valid license and clean record are required.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to drive various vehicle types (cars, trucks, SUVs, specialty vehicles).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must meet company insurance and driver qualification requirements.
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Previous auction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport vehicles to and from dealerships, customer locations, auctions, and other designated destinations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document any existing or newly identified damage.
  • Ensure vehicles are delivered on schedule and in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate transportation records, mileage logs, and delivery documentation.
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, and any vehicle concerns to management.
  • Observe all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures while operating vehicles.
  • Verify vehicle identification information and confirm proper delivery to the intended recipient.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
  • Assist with vehicle staging, movement, and lot organization as needed.
  • Report incidents, accidents, or mechanical concerns immediately.

Job Description

This position is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of vehicles from the auction facility to customer dealerships, vendors, and designated locations. This role requires exceptional attention to safety, customer service, vehicle condition awareness, and adherence to company transportation procedures.

Shift: Mon - Wed 8am -5 pm or Wed - Fri 8am - 5pm

Essential Responsibilities

Work Environment
