Job summary

The Salvation Army Granite City 360 Life Center is seeking a part-time Driver for donation pick-ups and participant transportation in the Granite City, IL area. The role involves assisting with kettles deliveries, and setting up donation giveaways, with a focus on confidentiality and respectful client interactions.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid IL or MO driver’s license, plus MVR screening.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with one year related work experience.
Ability to read and comprehend a job description and follow direction.
Basic communication skills to facilitate good communications between visitors and other employees.
Requires valid driver’s license (MO “E” or IL “D”) and must pass The Salvation Army MVR check.

Responsibilities

Assist in transporting participants to and from activities.
Assist with delivering and picking up kettles and counter kettles.
Make pickups and deliveries as needed.
Setup donation giveaways.
Participate in team training and development when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality, proper boundaries with clients and comply with Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines.
Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, visitors, co-workers and supervisor.
